That Superpower: You Have It

We all have the power. That power that can make us heroes. Choice is our superpower. One of the best things we can do with that power when we have a chance is choose to help others.

One of my favorite comic superheroes is Batman. While he may not have some strange superpower, what he does have is the power to choose. He chose to use his knowledge, skills, time, money, and other things to help others.

We all have the power to show our love and kindness by lending a hand to those in need. When we help others, it can create happiness in their lives as well as create feelings of happiness in our own lives.  As Albert Schweitzer said,

“I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.”

When it comes to serving others, there is one other thing you should remember.  When you need help, invite others to help you. Don’t hesitate to reach out to others and seek their kindness, love, and support.

I just self-published my second novel; H.E.R.O.E.S The Discovery. While the main idea for the ultimate plot of the story came to mind several years ago, I wasn’t sure how to get started. One day, memories of experiences in my life where I helped people and people helped me came to mind. They were memories of experiences throughout my entire life. My life as a young child and as an adult. Memories of where I used my power of choice to help others and the feelings of comfort, joy, and happiness that came to me after doing so. These memories also included ones when people helped me, when they used their power of choice to lend me a hand.

In this novel, these young boys discover something that changes their lives. Something that gives them the confidence, strength and superpowers they choose to use to help save the lives of others.

If you like young adult superheroes stories check it out.  It is available for purchase on the Lulu.com Bookstore . Paperback and E-book are available on this site.
