The power of music is beyond measurable. The emotional impact music can have on one’s life is huge. It can lead to feelings of joy and happiness as well as sorrow and pain. Music can result in the sudden appearance of memories of both good and bad times.
Music can also be strengthening. It can give you the mental and physical energy you need to make it through the day. It can create enjoyable and memorable moments. Music can also bring forth and influence the creativity within you as well as have a soothing and calming effect. It can be a thing to turn to for relaxation and stress relief.
Personally, I love music. Music is an important part of my life. Almost every day I listen to and feel inspired by music. I am so attracted to music that it’s as if part of my DNA is made up of music. In fact, music has definitely played a role in the history of my family. Both my grandfathers were musicians in their own way. My maternal grandfather, Henry Haywood Ford, even formed a country/western band in the state of Florida called “Henry Ford and the Melody Boys”. He played in that band for over 40 years.
When it comes to music, I am a fan of many genres; rock, pop, country, gospel, hip hop, a little rap, bluegrass, jazz, classical, even soundtracks from some of my favorite movies and plays.
If you were to ask me who my favorite musician or band is, or what my favorite song is, I couldn’t tell you. There are too many I really enjoy listening to and singing along with. One thing I can tell you is that are many songs that inspire me, motivate me to enjoy life, be a better person, and do the things I love.
