Recently, while visiting my father, I had the privilege of going through some boxes of old stuff (i.e. cards, letters, newspaper articles, etc.) my mother had retained over the years. In one of the boxes, I found this tiny little piece of paper that is probably about 30-35 years old. The heading on the paper read,
“These items we present to you to help sustain you through the year.”
As I read and thought about the list of items I was prompted to search the holy scriptures. The scripture that stuck out was from the New Testament in the Holy Bible; Galatians 5:22-23.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
As we live our lives and strive to partake of the fruits of the spirit, we will be faced with trials and tribulations. The list of items (see below) on this tiny slip of paper I found are simple little items/reminders to help sustain us as we go about our daily lives. I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to comment and share with others.
